HEN NOZZLES

The first of its kind in the world: High Efficiency Nozzle (HEN)

Adjustable nozzle that can switch from fog to stream in a quarter turn.
HEN nozzles are the world’s first adjustable nozzles with a blade pattern and a tightening/narrowing pattern in a quarter turn.

A unique and distinctive technology that is patented.

Patented technology uses the principles of fluid dynamics and heat management to create highly efficient fire extinguishing nozzles. They are designed to allow firefighters to switch the solid water stream to a wide blade pattern in line with reducing thermal balance disruption. Whether it is an aggressive internal attack on a specific structure fire or gradual hose advancement in wildland areas, the superior water mode of HEN enables faster fire suppression, leading to reduced water usage.

HEN technology is designed to achieve superior fire suppression capability. Whether it is an aggressive internal attack on a structure or gradual hose advancement in wildland areas, HEN’s superior water mode extinguishes fires faster, thereby conserving water efficiently.

Used by the largest firefighting departments in the United States, we offer nozzles for both wildland and structural areas. Our nozzles are effective for both water and Class A foam (CAFS)

  • Large droplet size.
  • Switch from a stream to a coherent blade pattern in line.
  • Adjust the stream with a quarter-turn rotation for easy and effective use.
  • Provides field coverage, cooling, and gas reduction.
  • Easier opening and closing.
  • Improves stream distance and shape with partial closure.
  • Large handle opening provides enhanced control.
  • All-aluminium construction reduces weight and improves balance.
  • Increases hose rigidity and ease of handling.
  • Significantly reduces the risk of hose and nozzle kinking.
  • Eliminates bends and reduces overall hose kinking.
  • Improves performance on all hose construction packages.

Comparison Between HEN Nozzle and Other Nozzles:

  • 3/8″ Smoothbore Tip
  • Suppression Time: 28 seconds
  • Water Used: 17 gallons
  • HEN Blade-45t Nozzle
  • Suppression Time: 8 seconds
  • Water Used: 6 gallons
  1. Adjustability:

– HEN Nozzle: Can switch from a vertical stream to a wide blade pattern with a quarter turn, providing versatility in various firefighting scenarios.

– Other Nozzles: Typically offer fewer adjustable patterns and may require more effort or time to switch between modes.

  1. Efficiency:

– HEN Nozzle: Uses patented technology based on fluid dynamics and heat management for highly efficient fire suppression, reducing water usage.

– Other Nozzles: May not be as optimized for efficient water usage and fire suppression, often requiring more water for the same effect.

  1. Ease of Use:

– HEN Nozzle: Features easier opening and closing mechanisms, with a large handle for improved control and a quarter-turn stream adjustment for quick changes.

– Other Nozzles: May have more complex or less intuitive mechanisms for adjusting the stream, making them harder to operate quickly.

  1. Construction:

– HEN Nozzle: Made entirely from aluminium, which reduces weight and improves balance, making it easier to handle and maneuver.

– Other Nozzles: Often heavier and less balanced due to different construction materials, which can affect handling.

  1. Performance:

– HEN Nozzle: Provides large droplet size for better field coverage, cooling, and gas reduction. Improves stream distance and shape even with partial closure.

– Other Nozzles: May not offer the same level of droplet size control or stream optimization, leading to less effective performance.

  1. Durability and Handling:

– HEN Nozzle: Increases hose rigidity, reduces kinking, and improves handling, which enhances performance and reduces operational issues.

– Other Nozzles: Often more prone to hose kinking and handling difficulties, which can impede firefighting efforts.

  1. Applications:

– HEN Nozzle: Effective with both water and Class A foam (CAFS), suitable for both structural and wildland firefighting scenarios.

– Other Nozzles: May be limited in application, not offering the same versatility with different extinguishing agents and environments.

By comparing these aspects, it becomes clear that the HEN nozzle offers several advantages over traditional nozzles, including greater efficiency, ease of use, and versatility in firefighting applications.
