Howe & Howe, Inc.
Howe & Howe Technologies is an American Technology company based in Maine – Waterboro, specializing in unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) technology and advanced robotics for military and security applications worldwide.
Renowned for their exceptional durability, Howe & Howe’s products are engineered to withstand extreme terrains, harsh climates, and high-temperature conditions. With superior capabilities in managing emergencies and operating in hazardous environments, the company’s solutions have earned a trusted position as a first line of defense and are officially adopted by leading global entities.
A subsidiary of Textron Systems, Howe & Howe developed the Thermite robotic firefighter using the same rugged military-grade platform, tailored to meet the demanding needs of first responders. Designed to enhance safety in disaster zones and dangerous fire situations, Thermite reduces human exposure, minimizes the risk of secondary explosions, and protects both lives and property.
The company continues to enhance Thermite’s firefighting capabilities through strategic collaboration with end users—customizing and developing robot configurations based on specific operational requirements.
Thermite® RS3

With a high output of 2,500 gallons per minute, the Thermite RS3 has the power to fight your battles. The RS3’s modular design and wider stance allow operators to incorporate additional equipment, including a plow assembly, foam tank and positive pressure ventilation (PPV) ventilator. With strength to push vehicles from its path and pull up to 8,000 lb, the RS3 has you covered in any situation.
Thermite® RS1

Versatility and strength define the Thermite RS1. Leveraging its unsurpassed mobility and agility, the Thermite RS1 easily maneuvers through tight areas while providing operators with situational awareness through video feedback on its remote belly-pack controller. Once positioned, the RS1 has the capability to output 1,250 gpm at 200 psi – gaining every advantage against the fire.
Thermite® EV2

Thermite EV2 safely and effectively targets and fires with its modular design. Instead of a traditional internal combustion engine, the Thermite EV2 is powered with the latest in high-capacity battery technology; and unlike these flammable fuel consuming engines, it does not require oxygen for power, enabling the firefighting robot to move farther into dangerous high-temperature oxygen deprived environments.
Thermite® EV1

The Thermite EV1 is an all electric firefighting robot that provides real-time situational awareness. Thermite EV1 safely and effectively targets fires with its modular design. Instead of a traditional internal combustion engine, the Thermite EV1 is powered with the latest in high-capacity battery technology. It does not require oxygen for power, enabling the firefighting robot to move father into dangerous high temperature oxygen deprived environments.
